Eli

I think you need to meet Eli my third grandchild. He smiles 24/7 and seldom cries unless you are late with dinner! He laughs all the time and for some reason thinks Paula Deen is me. He saw her Oprah and started talking and laughing and jabbering away. Britney says he had to think she was me because he was acting the way he does when he sees me. She wore her hair curly that day. Hmmm, he doesn't know I can only cook spaghetti, chili, pies, cakes and tacos. Here is a photo of Eli the Smile Boy.
The two grandchildren in my Blog photo are Tibs the "Curly Girl" and Buddy "The Boy". Tibs will try anything he does and some things he won't. Buddy is ALL boy and keeps me busy when he comes to visit. They are funny. I wonder why?
The Boy told me I wasn't supposed to say a certain word - I think I said something about some people doing stupid things but we did not do that kind of thing. He missed the lesson and busted me on "stupid" as being a no no word. The Curly Girl reprimands him saying "Kakie is a grown up and she can say what she wants to. You can't talk to my Kakie that way!" I laughed and saved him by saying I wouldn't say "stupid" anymore which made him look at me and go " Kakieeeee". Oh well.
My favorite story on The Boy is when he was 4 and it snowed here. We went out to slide down our little hill on my cookie sheets. The boys across the street who were 7-8 years old started throwing snowballs at us and one nailed me in the face. The Boy stood up from crouching behind a bush and said in a loud voice "STOP HITTING MY KAKIE RIGHT NOW! THAT IS NOT OK!" He was ready to take them on and the funny part is they came over and apologized and we played for a couple of hours with them.
The other story is when he was 2 years old we went to a nearby mall that has a nuge plastic gator. The gator lies still and every 2-3 minutes gets up and crawls forward with a roar. The Boy was a bit afraid of the gator and even with coaching would not go near it. I told him to watch me and started in that direction. He ran and wrapped his arms around my knees screaming "No, Kakiie, no! He will get you!" My hero! He saved me from the plastic gator! Ahhh , how sweet.
The Curly Girl constantly cracks us up. FYI the most important part to wash when bathing is your ... knee pits. She asked me to be her best friend ;) and asked if she could stay at my house and I told her to ask her mother. She came back in a few minutes and said "I think it will be better if you come see me - when can you come?"
Have a great Easter Sunday! Thank you God for your son!
